Our first trip to Hampton was uneventful, as we spent most of the day trying
to find some fresh local seafood. The town provides a great anchorage
just before the bridge, and free wireless. We enjoyed the Jacque
Cousteau Museum and found a great wine and cheese shop. On our way
back to N.C. we stopped again and were pleasantly surprised. We met
Wynn and Gail Price, who anchored beside us. Wynn is 84 years old and
they are headed up the Chesapeake. We gave them a chart book and a
sprig of basil for their trip. They really made this stop-over worth
while.
