SUMMER 2007:

Elizabeth City, NC

We left Elizabeth City, heading South, went down the Pasquotank River, across the Albemarle Sound, and entered the Alligator River for the evening.  Very early the next morning several sailboats entered the Alligator-Pungo Canal in the fog - about 3 minutes later they all turned around and came out!  We waited about an hour for the fog to lift.  By the time it was clear, there were about 2 dozen boats ready to enter the canal.

Beth had made a wonderful Portobello Crab Meat dinner the night before, so we didn't mind sleeping in another hour.

After leaving the Pamlico River, heading south, we crossed the Neuse River and anchored in Adams Creek.  The sunken sailboat mast was at the entrance to a little bay where several boats anchored.
