Dedicated to Catesby ap Catesby Jones
Born on July 17, 1919 in Richmond, Virginia
Died on February 5, 2005 in Wilmington, North Carolina

Loving son, loyal brother, trusted friend, Eagle Scout, graduate of St. Christopher's and VPI, Army Captain in the Pacific during WW2, devoted husband, proud father, long career as an industrial engineer with GE, active board member and community volunteer in retirement, Grandfather, "cradle to the grave" Episcopalian, beachcomber, sand castle builder, lover of life and my Dad.  It is a shame we don't live our lives backwards that we might better appreciate our time together.  Too often children overlook their parent's strengths and concentrate on their short comings until it is too late and those daily annoyances become precious memories.  My father's passing is my most significant loss and everyday I become more aware of his presence in my life.  I am blessed to be his son and will be forever grateful for his love and the sacrifices he made for me.  If his faith is correct, I will have a second chance to tell him how much he meant to me.  Until then I hold his memory in my heart as my most prized possession.

My deepest appreciation to Jeff and these great musicians for their eleventh hour push to finish this project on time.  As my friend Jimmy Pierce says, "Strive for perfection, settle for completion."  For me it is all about the songs.

All my love to Mimi, Eliza and Mac for our wonderful home life.
